Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in-person sessions?

No. Irenic Therapeutic Services is a telehealth-only practice, which means all sessions are conducted securely online. This allows us to serve clients across Arizona and Washington while offering flexible scheduling and privacy from your own space.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as relationship intensives for clients who want deeper, more focused work. All services are trauma-informed and culturally responsive.

What is a “relationship intensive”?

A relationship intensive is a longer, focused therapy session (or series of sessions) that allows couples or individuals to work through issues more deeply than weekly sessions typically allow. It’s ideal for couples seeking clarity, connection, mediation, or a reset in their relationship.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept a variety of insurance plans and private pay clients. Coverage varies by provider, so we recommend confirming your mental health benefits with your insurance company before your first session.

How do telehealth sessions work?

You’ll receive a secure video link via email before each appointment. Sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform on your computer, tablet, or phone. Just find a private, quiet space where you can feel comfortable and present.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a session fee.

Do you supervise interns or associate therapists?

Yes. Irenic Therapeutic Services provides clinical supervision for associate-level therapists and graduate interns under the supervision of licensed clinicians. This allows us to expand access to affordable care while training the next generation of trauma-informed providers.

What does “Irenic” mean?

“Irenic” means promoting peace and reconciliation. That’s the heart of our mission—to help clients find inner peace, restore connection, and begin healing at home.

Do you offer therapy for clients outside Arizona or Washington?

Not at this time. Our clinicians are licensed in Arizona and Washington, so we can only provide therapy to clients located in those states during sessions. The Counseling Compact will allow us permissions in other states so please ask and we will let you know if your state is open yet.

What makes Irenic Therapeutic Services different?

Our practice is led by therapists of color with deep experience in trauma recovery, relationship work, and culturally competent care. We understand that healing looks different for everyone, and we create spaces where you can show up fully—without judgment, code-switching, or having to explain your lived experience.
